Students are taught in classrooms about good nutrition, proper
portions and the value of healthy food choices. In support of these efforts, The Canon City School District’s School Nutrition and Activity Council (SNAC) is providing ideas for healthy snacks and beverages for parents, staff and students for classroom snacks and/or celebrations. Serving healthy snacks to children will help support our commitment of making wellness part of the total learning environment as well as provide good nutrition and support lifelong healthy eating habits.
